Seruling is a musical instrument and made from bamboo. A modern seruling is also made from aluminium and plastic. Different Seruling will have different number of holes. Seruling produces sound when a stream of air directed across a hole in the instrument creates a vibration of air at the hole. The player changes the pitch of the sound produced by opening and closing holes in the body of the instrument, thus changing the effective length of the resonator and its corresponding resonant frequency.
About the picture
The picture is taken during the wedding ceremony that I attended a week ago. Taken using my Nikon D70 with Sigma 70mm F2.8, I came as close as possible to the end of the Seruling to get a good angle. I took several shots and this is the best. Enjoy..
