Congratulation to both Khairul Hakimin & Nor Haryannie on their marriage 29th June 2008. Sorry for the late upload.

This picture is to test my new software to reduce noise and it works pretty well. I guess that it is the best software so far as I concerned to reduce noise. Thanks for viewing..

Bandar Kuah, Langkawi

The view of Bandar Kuah from the hotel. I don't have an ultra wide angle lens, this photo is taken 2 times and merge it by using AP Cs2.

Beras Terbakar (Burnt Rice), Langkawi

During our stay at Langkawi, we also went to the field of Burnt Rise at Padang Matsirat. The legenary story of the Burnt Rice is written below.

During the Siamese invasion of Langkawi in 1821 the Chieftain of Langkawi, Dato' Karma Jaya, ordered the granary to be burnt in order to starve the enemy. Remnants of the burnt rice could still be seen today at the very spot of the burnt granary which is known as Beras Terbakar (Burnt Rice).
The burnt rice is said to have been buried a few metres below ground but often appears on the surface after a rainy day. (

Dataran Lang, Langkawi

Dataran Lang (Eagle Square) is Langkawi's most prominent landmark for visitors arriving by sea. Situated near the Kuah jetty, the main attraction of the square is the huge eagle statue poised for flight. According to local tales, the name Langkawi is derived from the word "helang". In old Malay, "kawi" denote reddish brown - hence, Langkawi means reddish brown eagle!

This place offers a beautiful surroundings, scenic ponds, bridges, covered terraces, restaurants and barrel vaults made of bricks. Since it's close to the sea, one can really enjoy the cool breeze while strolling along the park. Indeed, the gigantic eagle is strategically positioned to welcome visitors to Langkawi.
